Now you get to learn about RSS feed directories and their use for indexing and link building.
First off, to understand what RSS stands for and what an RSS feed is I’ll let Wikipedia do the honors.
Now that you know what an RSS feed is and what it’s used for let me show you how we’re going to use them.
We are going to build some backlinks with them. Some of these backlinks are no-follow and some do-follow and that’s fine. Remember we need a good mix for naturally built links anyway.
Where Do You Find Your RSS Feed URL?
This is actually easy. If you have a website created using WordPress, it’s automatic.
Your feed will naturally be http://yoursitename.com/rss
I.e. here is the one for Niche 60: http://niche60.com/rss
You’ll need this for future reference.
As usual I am going to demo adding your site to one of the RSS directories and even though they are all different, they way you add your blog to one of these directories is similar.
For the demo I am going to use: Feedage.com
First you need to signup
A). Fill out the form
B). Enter the captcha code
C). Click sign up
Next, you’ll come to a screen like this.
A). Just click the “confirm your access link” for now.
Next, verify the email that they send you.

After confirming you’ll come to a page that looks like this.
A). Click Submit Feed
Next, you’ll see a page like this.
A). Select your category that closely
B). Put in your RSS feed here
C). Click submit
Finally, you’ll see this.
Good job! You just submitted your first RSS Feed to a directory.
